INVITES INDONESIAN CITIZENS AND ASEAN NATIONALS WITH
PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS IN INDONESIA TO APPLY FOR THE FOLLOWING
POSITION


TECHNICAL OFFICER
– FINANCE / TRUST FUND

Background:

The ASEAN
Charter
signed by the ASEAN Heads of Government/State in
Singapore on 20 November 2007 and has come into force
on 15 December 2008. The Charter has provided a new impetus to
ASEAN’s integration efforts by establishing a legal and
institutional framework required to achieve the ASEAN Community by
2015. The ASEAN Secretariat is positioned to provide the necessary
functions required to effectively support the community building
process. This includes an organisation structure that is aligned to
the requirements of the Charter and the respective Community
Blueprints, namely: ASEAN Political-Security Community (APSC), ASEAN
Economic Community (AEC), and ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community (ASCC).

Currently, the ASEAN Secretariat (ASEC)
is looking for suitable
candidates to fill several vacancies for Technical Officer – Finance
/ Trust Funds to
provide technical support in managing
the budget and financial matters of ASEC, including trust funds.

Duties and
Responsibilities:

The Technical Officer
– Finance / Trust Funds duties will cover, but not limited to, the
following:

Manage/assist in the financial
operations and trust funds, including budgeting preparation,
book-keeping and financial reporting, cash flow management,
maintaining and enhancing relations with agent banks,
coordinating and facilitating audits of accounts.

Provide administrative support to
Finance and Budget Division in reviewing and processing
financial transactions.

Review travel advance request and
travel settlement, i.e. process payment for underpaid travel,
maintain and check the accuracy and completeness of documents,
and prepare all necessary documents for bank transfer.

Ensure compliance with established
financial rules and procedures.

Requirements:

Bachelor degree
in Accounting
, Finance, or a related field and auditing
experience is an advantage.

A minimum of 3-4
years experience in multinational organisation.

Strong analytical
and problem solving skills in a complex organisational
environment and in work planning.

Results-oriented;
able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Willing to travel
on a short notice and act on other ad-hoc assignments if needed.

Proficient in
using information technology (IT) tools, including familiarity
with popular financial information software packages, preferably
SunSystem V5.

Willing
to work overtime and train other staff members.

Demonstrated
knowledge and policy, research and technical skills in the
relevant area.

Sound oral and
written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills,
including experience in cross-cultural environment and
international settings.

Excellent command
of English, written and spoken.

General qualifications:

Competency in computer skills with
adequate knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook where relevant to
the position; ability to multi-task, work long and irregular hours,
and perform outside the usual job scope and
ability to function effectively independently and as part of
a team.

Remuneration and Benefits:

Successful candidate will be offered the
post with a probation period of six months and monthly salary
commensurate with his/her personal qualifications starting from IDR
6 up to 15 millions. There are other applicable benefits which
include monthly transportation allowance, outpatient medical
reimbursement
, hospitalisation insurance and an annual bonus of a
month’s basic salary. Upon
completion of the probationary period, the candidate will be
confirmed as Technical Officer – Finance / Trust Fund for a
three-year contract, inclusive of the six-month probationary period,
in the first instance.
